Consider the course outline your roadmap to success! The Course Outline shows in diagram format the way that the course is structured - with milestones, video lessons, activities, document lessons or assessments at each step of the journey.
The typical Lobster Ink course format will involve a ‘milestone’ at the start of a new section or knowledge. Think of it like a ‘section header’. Thereafter, there will be some learning assets - for example, video lessons, document lessons or activities. The last step in a milestone is usually to take an assessment based on the learning assets in that section - to prove to yourself, and others, that you have really got to grips with the learning content.
Passing your current milestone’s assessment will unlock the assessment in the next milestone. This means that you can look at the content related to any point in the Course Outline at any stage. You can even skip lessons entirely and go straight to the assessment, although that’s not really the point - all of the magic lies in lessons! It is just the assessments which need to be completed in sequence so that you can finish the course.
If you would like more detail about the Course Outline, click on the ‘Course Details’ page. Alongside the ‘Course Outline’ header, you will see the ‘Resources’ tab. Click on that to reveal supporting documentation about that course - including facilitators guides (where relevant), and a more detailed description of the Course Outline and learning outcomes.
